Ciao!!

My name is Davide and I was born in 1983, CB from childhood and HAM since June 2002.

In the 1999 I started to attend HAM-lessons in the radio club of my city, I had the opportunity to learn CW from a special teacher and real gentleman: IK8YJQ Franco.

I get my ordinary licence at the first try, and in the June 2002 I was active on 10m with a President Lincoln, a little BV131 amplifier (1x EL509) and a lot of joy!! My first HF was a workhorse: ICOM 720A…a good radio for a starter and for low bands..after a short period I decided to upgrade with a kenwood ts 450s and I’m still using this small and simple transceiver.

I really like portable activities. My big passion is SSB, I love doing QSO with far countries.. I appreciate a pleasant and relaxing QSO and if the band is splattered by a contest (too much kWs) I prefer to switch off. I’m not active on CW and I’m not active on digi-modes: there is nothing better a good Phone-QSO with one of the thousands friend all over the world!
